Screamer

Screamer

This pedal is my take on the Ibanez Tube Screamer circuit, with some special, patented Rocksauce added for good taste…

The pedal starts with a generic tube screamer circuit, which has a few, select modifications to tailor the sound to what I like. The switch on the top left hand corner is for switching between the different clipping diodes. For the clipping diodes, I used a few different ones, including Germanium diodes, and for the LED’s, which are commonly used in the Tube Screamer as part of the clipping circuit, I use a couple of different ones, rather than the stock red LED’s. I dig it.

The middle switch is for engaging the Fat Boost, which is just an implementation of the AMZ Fat Mod. In my opinion, it sounds amazing on bass when this is engaged, but I also know a few metal guys who love using this mod for their drop tuned guitars, and I tend to agree!

Last, but certainly not least, I also built a boost into this pedal. The boost is my take on a Zvex Super Hard On, which Zach named as such, because it can be super hard on your amp…and he’s not joking.

All in all, this is my favorite pedal, and this is actually my personal pedal, thus the no paint.
